How Bush Won the Election

Eighteen + 9

A Catalogue of Inane Events

1. Picked up by Cherry today at 1:27pm for a belated birthday lunch, who was under-punctual by 27 minutes

2. Decided against Randwick and headed for Coogee as I had "never discovered that place before"

3. Gave customary oohs and aahs at the scenic storm cloud-ridden beauty of Coogee Beach

4. Walked around Coogee area first in a fit of exploration

5. Salaciously lured into a lovely homewear shop after being distracted by equally lovely cushions on display; Cherry ended up buying a rust-eaten rustic lantern

6. Settled on quaint Coogee Plate Café where Cherry ordered One Serious Burger and a "strong skim milk latte" while I had a white wine chicken, mushroom and spinach fettuccine in a creamy pink sauce

7. Discussed novelty ways of removing one "particularly stubborn" metaphoric stain over lunch

8. Attracted to gelato shop like bees to honey where Cherry took a double-scoop cone of Cookies and English Trifle while I chose a triple-scoop cup of Cookies, Chocolate Hazelnut and White Chocolate

9. Proceeded to the beach area while simultaneously being attacked by wind-splattered melting gelato and blood ice-cream thirsty seagulls

10. Melodramatic rate of liquefaction of gelato leads us to conclusively determine reason for gelato shop name, Temporary Gelatissimo

11. Spent a good half hour or so "frolicking like mature adults" in the sand and tides barefoot

12. All good things must come to an end - at half past four or thereabouts

Many thanks to Cherry for the lunch treat and such a wonderful time at the beach today =)
