Note to self
Those among us who are human beings all suffer from a common terminal disease.
It is apparently called "life" and it inevitably and invariably results in death.
There are no known cures.

Not Today
Why won't you grow up and be a man someday
I can't believe that you're still playing silly games
Now why do I put up with all this child's play
Now if your word is all you have
Then you ain't worth a damn thing
Promises you told me every day
That you made you never ever kept
By me I really want to believe
But not today, not today, not today, not today
You're the worst
I can't even depend on you
You say a lot of good things
But something else you always do
Be a man of your word
Try to love something other than you
But now you can be on your way
Cause I don't want you to stay
...
Don't let him waste your time girl
He's only telling lies girl
When he apologises (and he will, he will)
Don’t even believe all that mess
Cause he gon' do it again
Promises you told me every day
That you made you never ever kept
By me I really want to believe
But not today, not today, not today, not today
Note to self
Humans are essentially self-destructive.
They thirst and hunger and pine and write elaborate prose and poetry for the very things they cannot ever have.
Humans are also thusly masochistic.

Luxurious
Working so hard every night and day. And now we get the pay back. Trying so hard saving up the paper. Now we get to lay back. Champagne kisses hold me in your lap of luxury. I only want to fly first class desires, you’re my limousine. So elegant the way we ride, our passion it just multiplies. There's platinum lightning in the sky. Look I'm livin’ like a queen. This kind of love is getting expensive. We know how to live baby. We’re LUXURIOUS like Egyptian cotton. We’re so rich in love were rollin' in cashmere. Got it in fifth gear baby. Diamond in the rough is lookin' so sparkly. Working so hard every night and day. And now we get the pay back. Trying so hard saving up the paper. Now we get to lay back.
Sugar, honey, sexy baby. When we touch it turns to gold. Sensitive and delicate kinda like a tuberose. You know you are my treasure chest. It's pure perfection when we kiss and. You’re my Mr., I'm your Miss. Gonna be until we’re old. This kind of love is getting expensive. We know how to live baby. We’re LUXURIOUS like Egyptian cotton. Working so hard every night and day. And now we get the pay back. Trying so hard saving up the paper. Now we get to lay back. cha-ching cha-ching we’re loaded and we’re not gonna blow it. cha-ching cha-ching we’re hooked up with the love cause we grow it. cha-ching cha-ching we got hydroponic love and we’re smokin'. cha-ching cha-ching we burn it you and I, we are so lit. We’re so rich in love were rollin' in cashmere. Got it in fifth gear baby. Diamond in the rough is lookin' so sparkly. Working so hard every night and day. And now we get the pay back. Trying so hard saving up the paper. Now we get to lay back.

Memorable Quotes from Batman & Robin (1997)
Pamela Isley/Poison Ivy: Mammals, a day of reckoning is coming. That's right, the same plants and flowers that saw you crawl from the primordial soup will reclaim the planet. And there will be no-one to protect you.
Gossip Gerty: You must be new in town. In Gotham City, Batman and Robin protect us... even from plants and flowers.
---
Batman: And you are...?
Batgirl: Batgirl.
Batman: That's not very PC. What about Batwoman, or Batperson?
Batgirl: I found the Batcave.
Robin: I guess we'll just have to kill her.
---
Robin: I need a sign that you've turned over a new leaf.
Ivy: How about "slippery when wet?"
---
Ivy: There's just something about an anatomically correct rubber suit that puts fire in a girl's lips.
Batman: Why is it that all the beautiful ones are homicidal maniacs? Is it me?
---
Robin: I want a car, chicks dig the car.
Batman: This is why Superman works alone.
---
Barbara Wilson: Partners?
Dick Grayson: Partners.
Bruce Wayne: Partners.
Alfred: We're going to need a bigger cave.

Sydney Opera House > What's On > Box Office

All aboard for Gilbert and Sullivan’s light-hearted take on how power and influence turn marriage into a mating game with more than love at stake. Trial by Jury meets TV soap opera Dynasty, while HMS Pinafore is given a gorgeous, opulent ‘Titanic’ look. A hummable, lovable (and hilarious) night at the theatre.

Cheap sunglasses: A poem
When you wake up in the mornin' and the light is hurtin' your head,
The first thing you do when you get up out of bed
Is hit the streets a-runnin' and try to beat the masses,
And go get yourself some cheap sunglasses.

Invite to Release Party of Gwen Stefani's L.A.M.B./Royal Sneakers
Gwen Steffani and LAMB team up with Royal
Smashing into the Australian fashion scene for the first time ever, Royal Elastics is introducing a much anticipated sneaker collection in collaboration with Gwen Stefani's L.A.M.B label. You are invited to an invitation only release of the limited edition sneaker collection at General Pants Co.
These sneakers are designed with the same Made with Love philosophy and attention to detail that is the signature of the popular L.A.M.B. apparel collection. The L.A.M.B acronym stands for everything that Gwen likes and draws inspiration from. As well as being the title of her self-titled debut album, Love Angel Music Baby, it is also the muse behind her sneaker designs.
A playful juxtaposition between masculinity and femininity, the L.A.M.B sneaker collection is representative of the Royal Elastic trademark laceless style, with a touch of classic silhouettes and unique treatments, inspired by the pop starlets own closet.
"L.A.M.B. represents all things that I love. It's very much about my style and how I like to put things together. L.A.M.B. is something that I want to wear everyday, and I'm really excited to be adding a collection of L.A.M.B. sneakers to my closet," explains Stefani, who was named Most Fashion-Forward Artist by Vogue Magazine.
Four styles released on the one night
Each sneaker is carefully detailed to represent one of the four themed letters of L.A.M.B. Distinct features such as cashmere lining, dangling charms, unique embroidery and bold graphics are incorporated into the Royal Elastics and L.A.M.B creations. Also incorporating Gwen's number one influence, music, her favorite song lyrics like "I want you all over me like L.A.M.B.", "Where did my lamb go?" and "Rolling in cashmere, got it in fifth gear, baby" can be found throughout the collection.
There are only 60 pairs of each style available in Australia, making certain this limited edition sneaker collection is sure fly. All styles will sell for $199.95.

Bacall slams 'vulgar' Cruise
Screen legend Lauren Bacall has taken a caustic swipe at Tom Cruise, chiding the Hollywood star for his "vulgar" behaviour and questioning his acting ability.
...
"It's inappropriate and vulgar and absolutely unacceptable to use your private life to sell anything commercially, but I think it's kind of a sickness," she added.
...
Bacall also had some less than complimentary words for Cruise's acting skills as she bemoaned the liberal way labels such as "great" and "legend" were sprinkled over Hollywood stars.
"I mean the word 'great' stands for something," Bacall said. "When you talk about a great actor, you're not talking about Tom Cruise."

Snickers recalled over NSW poison threat
Snickers recalled over NSW poison threat
Snickers recalled over NSW poison threat
21:55 AEST Fri Jul 1 2005
Tens of thousands of Snickers and Mars chocolate bars have been withdrawn from sale in NSW after the manufacturer was sent a letter threatening to poison a member of the public.
The letter followed another two sent to MasterFoods since May threatening a third party, the company said.
NSW Police and MasterFoods announced the recall after the letter was received at the company's Ballarat head office in Victoria.
The letter warned that up to seven Snickers and Mars bars in the metropolitan Sydney area had been contaminated.
MasterFoods Australia New Zealand president Andy Weston-Webb said the withdrawal of products from 5,500 retail outlets across the state was a precaution.
Police believed the products were randomly chosen and may have been tampered with, he said.
"No one should eat a Mars or Snickers bar that they've bought, please destroy it ... it's not safe to eat Mars or Snickers bars," he told reporters.
"Our one and only concern here is for public safety."
Mr Weston-Webb said there was no evidence the threat had been carried out and the company was not aware of anyone falling sick from eating the products.
NSW Police serious crime unit head Detective Superintendent Peter Cotter said MasterFoods had received "veiled threats" against a third party in the two previous letters.
One of the letters contained a Snickers bar contaminated with an unidentified substance.
"The substance of these letters were ramblings and the exact intent is not known," Supt Cotter told reporters.
"There is a foreign contaminant definitely within the bar. As to what that substance is, chemically or physically, we are not aware."
Police said the company did not withdraw the products from sale when the contaminated bar was received because it was deemed not to be a significant threat.
Supt Cotter said authorities in NSW and Victoria were working to track down the person behind the threats.
"MasterFoods and the NSW Police and all other agencies are working together to do our very best to catch this offender and get a very successful resolution to this as quickly as we can," he said.
An individual acting alone was believed to be responsible, he said.
The last serious threat to a food manufacturer was in January 2001 when Sanitarium received an extortion threat to contaminate some products. It followed a similar threat to the company in 1998.
