Wars Of The Roses

Wars Of The Roses Posted by Hello

Celebrating fifteen years of touring across Australia, Bell Shakespeare presents an event not to be missed – WARS OF THE ROSES – John Bell’s adaptation of Shakespeare’s Henry VI Trilogy distilled into one evening of two remarkable parts: Harry The Sixth and Edward 4.

The nation is embroiled in turmoil following the death of its inspirational leader and the once great power base is challenged through a relentless campaign on foreign soil. Brutal struggles for dominance dictate in a world torn apart by deceit and blind ambition.

At the heart of John Bell’s WARS OF THE ROSES are the flawed and passionate characters who embody corruption and treachery. An extraordinary Bell Ensemble of sixteen actors confronts our frailties, ambition and hopes in this theatrical tour-de-force.
