Romeo and Juliet

A first glance of love lingers like a perfectly formed smoke ring. Outside forces blow tumultuously and the delicate perfection is distorted and eventually destroyed.
Body heat rises, pupils dilate, skin moistens as adrenalin surges… Love and hate consume with a burning sickness that will turn deadly.
This is the world of Romeo and Juliet: passion rising unabated. Life lived - and ended - at boiling point.
'Here's much to do with Hate, but more with Love'

Note to self
The Beautiful Life
or
Necessities are for nincompoops
Someone, someone very wise, once said,
''GIVE US THE LUXURIES OF LIFE AND WE WILL DISPENSE WITH ITS NECESSITIES.''
Yes, to hell with necessities,
give us tailored clothing,
horseback riding,
moveable feasts,
the perfect kiss,
warm socks on a cold winter morning,
a well-played game of Paper, Scissors, Stone,
sunsets,
sunrises,
ice cold beer,
sipping cold beer from a woman's navel,
and all the things not just unnecessary, but wonderfully unnecessary.
In other words, give us The Beautiful Life.
Now.

Joop! Jump

For the guy who marches to the beat of his own drum and has enough faith in himself to be different.
For the guy who doesn't let convention stand, it is now time to
JUMP OUT OF YOUR SUIT.
A masculine classic fougere fragrance associated to a surprising fresh and sensual brand new cocktail accord: the Frozen vodka!

Music For Minorities

Mikel Rouse
Playhouse, Sydney Opera House
The provocative American composer, performer and multimedia performer Mikel Rouse brings one of his brilliant works to Sydney for the first time – MUSIC FOR MINORITIES
‘A composer many believe to be the best of his generation.’ NEW YORK TIMES
MUSIC FOR MINORITIES is a beautiful and surreal song and multimedia storytelling experience. Inspired by the plethora of sanitised cable TV options available, the synchronised video imagery in MUSIC FOR MINORITIES replicates the experience of channel surfing, producing a non-linear narrative in which Rouse explores the troubled, darker aspects of Middle America. Accompanied by a lush recorded soundscape of percussion and multiple guitars, Mikel Rouse sings smooth songs inspired by 60s pop and Delta blues. It’s an audio-visual collage of stories and ideas from the Silent Minorities of the media age.

Do not miss this spellbinding tale of love and betrayal
Revisit the traditional charms of the classic Giselle. Girl meets boy. Girl gets boy. Girl loses boy, dies of a broken heart and joins a band of vengeful ghosts.
This is one of the real showpieces of classical ballet: steeped in history; extravagantly staged; and full of demanding, traditional ballet dancing.
2006 marks the 20th anniversary of Maina Gielgud's much-loved and extraordinarily beautiful production of Giselle that has been seen on stages around the world.

Waterfalls
I seen a rainbow yesterday
But too many storms have come and gone
Leavin' a trace of not one God-given ray
Is it because my life is ten shades of gray
I pray all ten fade away
Seldom praise Him for the sunny days
And like His promise is true
Only my faith can undo
The many chances I blew
To bring my life to anew
Clear blue and unconditional skies
Have dried the tears from my eyes
No more lonely cries
My only bleedin' hope
Is for the folk who can't cope
Wit' such an endurin' pain
That it keeps em' in the pourin' rain
Who's to blame
For tootin' 'caine into your own vein
What a shame
You shoot and aim for someone else's brain
You claim to be insane
And name this day and time
For fallin' prey to crime
I say the system got you victim to your own mind
Dreams are hopeless aspirations
In hopes of comin' true
Believe in yourself
The rest is up to me and you
